§ Mr. ScottThe Government have made it clear on many occasions that they will encourage integrated education wherever there is a local wish for it and will support practical proposals put forward in response to local wishes. However, there is no question of forcing integration on anyone who does not want it. I am satisfied that, within this policy, the Government are doing everything they can to promote the idea of integrated education.
