HC Deb 09 November 1981 vol 12 c43W
Mr. Canavan

asked the Prime Minister whether she will set up a public inquiry or other form of inquiry into the British Security Service since the Second World War.

Mr. Proctor

asked the Prime Minister whether she will refer the activities of Mr. Leo Long between 1940 and 1950 to the Security Commission which is investigating British intelligence operations.

The Prime Minister

No. In its current inquiry the Security Commission is examining security procedures, not investigating intelligence operations.
