§ Sir Ian GilmourI visited Turkey from 26 to 30 April at the Turkish Foreign Minister's invitation. I had talks with the Head of State, the Prime Minister, and Mr. Turkmen. The purpose was to see things at first hand and have discussions with an important ally on a wide range of international issues. There was no question of concluding any agreements.
