§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Lord Privy Seal if he will publish the substance of resolution 35/150 adopted by consensus by the United Nations General Assembly and cosponsored by the United Kingdom on an Indian Ocean peace zone.
§ Mr. HurdThe main operative paragraphs of this resolution took note of the report of the United Nations Ad Hoc Committee on the Indian Ocean; requested the Committee to continue its efforts for the necessary harmonisation of views on the issues related to the convening of a conference on the Indian Ocean as a zone of peace; and asked it, in the light of progress on this, to make every effort to finalise preparations for such a conference.
