HC Deb 18 June 1981 vol 6 c431W
23. Mr. Wm. Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many children (a) are suspected, (b) have been identified and (c) have been charged in connection with the throwing of missiles at the security forces in Northern Ireland during the current year.

Mr. Alison

I cannot give figures in precisely the form requested; but since 1 March this year, since when most of the recent disturbances have occurred, 30 juveniles have been charged with, and another 13 summonsed for, possession or use of petrol or acid bombs. In addition 57 juveniles have been charged with, and another 2 summonsed for, disorderly or riotous behaviour involving in some cases the use of other missiles. The police also wish to interview several other juveniles for similar offences.
