Mr. Hawksley

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the working party set up by the Police Advisory Board to review the role of the special constabulary has yet reported; if not when it is due to do so; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Whitelaw

The working party will report to the Police Advisory Board on 15 July 1981. We shall study the report carefully.
