HC Deb 11 June 1981 vol 6 c183W
Mr. Marlow

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people have been arrested following the racial disturbances in Thornton Heath, Croydon.

Mr. Mayhew

I understand that, as at 10 June, 39 people had been interviewed at Norbury police station in connection with the death of a young man at Thornton Heath on the evening of 1 June, and related offences. A further 18 were assisting the police with their inquiries this morning.
