asked the Prime Minister if she will list the Government Ministers who have represented the United Kingdom at meetings of Family Ministers of the Council of Europe, setting out the subject discussed.

My hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Health and Social Security, the Member for Ealing, Acton (Sir G. Young), represented the United Kingdom at the sixteenth and seventeenth conferences of European Ministers responsible for family affairs. The theme of the sixteenth conference, held in Athens in May 1979, was "Family Policy as an Instrument for Providing Equal Opportunities for Children". The theme of the seventeenth conference, held in Rome in May 1981, was "Time for Work, Time for the Family".
