Mr. Canavan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will publish a list of the contents of the Scottish Home and Health Department store at Hayford Mill, Cambusbarron.

The main items of equipment held at the store are as follows:

  • Welfare equipment: camp beds, blankets, sheets and pillow cases.
  • Feeding equipment: pots, pans, plates, cutlery etc.
  • Cooking equipment: field cookers and boilers.
  • Heating equipment: paraffin heaters and stoves.
  • Lighting equipment: paraffin operated lamps and floodlights, and battery operated lamps and torches.
  • Water equipment: polythene and alloy piping, hoses, water tanks, inflatable dams and pumps.
  • Sanitation equipment: chemical toilets, towels and dustbins.
  • Hospital equipment: disposable bedding and gowns.
  • Oil pollution equipment: vehicles and detergent.
  • Radiac equipment: dosimeters, survey meters and charging units.
