§ Mr. David Steelasked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) if he will consider introducing further measures to expedite uncontested divorce procedure in general; and if he will make a statement;
(2) if he will consider seeking to amend existing legislation to give the sheriff court co-extensive jurisdiction with the Court of Session in divorce, with a power to the sherrif to remit on either party's motion or on his motion in case of difficulty to the Court of Session;
(3) if he will make a statement as to what measures have been taken to progress divorces into the sherrif courts.
