§ Mr.MacgregorThere are no formal powers to ensure that foreign investors adhere to such statements, any more than there are formal powers to ensure that United Kingdom investors do so. The use of United Kingdom resources is however one of the factors taken into account in considering any application for selective financial assistance under section 7 or section 8 of the Industry Act 1972.
