§ 21. Mr. Cadburyasked the Secretary of State for Trade whether there is evidence of improvements in the non-price competitiveness of British exports.
§ Mr. BiffenIt is difficult to measure the effect of non-price competitiveness on export performance and any evidence can only be subjective. But I am sure that, with the price competition that they now face, exporters are much more aware of the importance of non-price factors such as quality, design, marketing, etc. to their performance in export markets.
