§ Mr. Norman LamontInformation on current volumes of uranium oxide imports into the United Kingdom is not available, as uranium oxides are not separately identified in the Overseas Trade Statistics. Uranium requirements for United Kingdom nuclear power stations, currently about 1500tU per annum, are at present met by imports from Canada and Namibia. The details of the uranium supply contracts are commercially confidential to the organisations concerned.
