§ Mr. Strangasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many cases have been brought, relating to the farm tenancy succession provisions of the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976; and, of these, how many have been found in favour of the landlord and tenant, respectively.
§ Mr. WigginAs at 30 June 1981 the eight agricultural land tribunals in England and Wales had made 551 decisions on application for succession on the death of an agricultural tenant under the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976. Directions entitling applicants to the tenancies were issued with the agreement of the landlord in 360 cases. In the 191 contested cases, 99 directions were made and 92 were refused.
