Mr. Strang

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what quantity of frozen chickens and turkeys, originating in France, have been exported to the United Kingdom each year over the past five years (i) in volum, (ii) in value and (iii) as a percentage of the United Kingdom market.

The United Kingdom import statistics do not separately identify the frozen products. The following table therefore covers imports from France of fresh, chilled, frozen, prepared or preserved chicken and turkey:
