§ Mr. John MacKayasked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he proposes to lay regulations providing for the closure and merger of colleges of education.
§ Mr. YoungerI have today laid the Teachers Colleges of Education (Scotland) Regulations 1981, which provide for the dissolution of Callendar Park, Craiglockhart, Hamilton and Notre Dame colleges of education; for the transfer of the staff and property of Callender Park and Hamilton to Moray House and Jordanhill colleges of education, respectively; and for the transfer of the staff and property of Craiglockhart and Notre Dame to a new St. Andrew's college of education. These changes will all take effect on 15 September 1981.
