§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will give an assurance that before introducing legislation amending the law dealing with the closed shop, he will ensure that discussions take place with any trade union that operates such a policy, including the lawyers and doctors and any employers' organisation that has firms in membership which operate a closed shop for their employees.
