§ 43. Mr. Allan Robertsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will ensure that adequate central Government funding is made available to the newly-elected Merseyside county council to enable it to provide the level of local authority services to which it is committed.
§ Mr. KingI believe the amount of grant made available to Merseyside to be a fair assessment of Merseyside county council's needs in the light of the share of national resources available to local government as a whole.
