§ Mr. Ernie Rossasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give a percentage breakdown by sex of the number of Scottish school leavers with no SCE qualifications in the last year.
§ Mr. Alexander Fletcher33.8 per cent. of male school leavers and 31.2 per cent. of female school leavers in 1978–79, the latest year for which information is available, held no SCE qualifications. Further information about the qualifications held by school leavers is given in Scottish Education Department statistical bulletin No. 9/E2/1980, a copy of which is lodged in the Library of the House.
