§ Mr. ParkinsonThe relationship between member States and the anti-dumping unit of the European Commission is formally governed by Council regulation (EEC) No. 3017/79 and its ECSC equivalent. This regulation provides among other things for the establishment of an Anti-Dumping Advisory Committee of member States and sets out the respective roles of member States and the Commission in anti-dumping investigations. Frequent informal contacts are also maintained between officials of my Department's antidumping unit and their counterparts in the Commission.
