§ Mr. Canavanasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will take steps to improve the prospects of the Scotch whisky industry.
Mr. WalkerMy continuing concern for the interests of the Scotch whisky industry have been demonstrated by the steps I took to secure agreement in the Community to payment of export refunds on whisky. I will continue to press for the rapid implementation of this commitment. I am also in constant touch with the Scotch Whisky Association about various issues of concern to the industry.
