HC Deb 16 January 1981 vol 996 cc625-6W
Mr. Denzil Davies

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the present position with regard to the demand by the EEC Commission that the United Kingdom should import heat-treated milk.

Mr. Buchanan-Smith

The United Kingdom has now replied to the Commission's reasoned opinion on this subject, and has repeated its view that its present health restrictions on sales of imported milk are justified. It is for the Commission to decide whether to pursue the matter further.
