HC Deb 12 January 1981 vol 996 c430W
Mr. Craigen

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland pursuant to the reply to the hon. Member for Glasgow, Maryhill regarding the special programmes project at Liddesdale Square, Milton, Glasgow, when this scheme with Glasgow district council parks department will now be completed to the satisfaction of the local authority.

Mr. Alexander Fletcher

The serious drainage problems encountered in this project—which were thought to have been overcome last June—were exacerbated by the unusually wet summer and were not finally resolved until late autumn.

Work on the project is now progressing satisfactorily—tree and shrub planting is scheduled for February and the whole project should be completed to the satisfaction of the local authority by mid-March.
