Information in the distribution of industrial civil servants is not held centrally, neither is information on the location of non-industrial civil servants by constituency. However, in the county boroughs of Bury and Rochdale there were 1,130 non-industrial staff in post —part-timers counted as half units—on 1 October 1980.
