HC Deb 12 January 1981 vol 996 c415W
Mr. McTaggart

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is satisfied that present immigration control adequately prevents the entry into the United Kingdom of persons of Middle Eastern origin who intend to mount assassination or terror campaigns against other Middle Easterners; and if he will take any necessary steps to strengthen controls, especially with regard to citizens of Iran and Iraq.

Mr. Mayhew

The immigration control is an important part of our defences against terrorism and every effort is made to identify terrorists who seek to enter this country.
