§ Dr. BoysonThe responsibility for enforcing the law on the employment of schoolchildren rests with local480W education authorities. Information on the number of staff engaged on this activity and the cost of enforcement is not available within my Department. The number of staff and level of resources applied to enforcement is primarily a matter for local decision and my right hon. and learned Friend has no plans to suggest a general increase.
