§ Mr. Gorstasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many officials of his Department are engaged in the investigation into the tax affairs of Rossminster or of any individual or company associated with Rossminster; what proportion of his Department's total investigative manpower are thus employed; and when he anticipates the investigation will be completed.
§ Mr. Ridley[pursuant to his reply, 14 December 1981, c. 60]:Treasury Ministers are not concerned with the conduct of individual cases; that is entirely a matter for the Board of Inland Revenue. The Board cannot disclose details of the affairs of individual taxpayers.
