§ Mr. Michael Brownasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a study of the European Parliament's report on the Government's changes to the immigration rules; whether he intends to reply to the report; and if so., in what form.
§ Mr. RaisonMy right hon. Friend has seen copies of the report prepared by the Legal Affairs Committee of the European Parliament and of the resolution adopted by that Parliament. It is not the practice for member States to make formal responses to such reports and resolutions. The matters with which this report deals will form part of our continuing discussions with the European Commission on the immigration rules.
