§ Mr. Alexander FletcherTayside regional council applied to the Secretary of State for approval to close Hawkhill primary school, Dundee, with effect from August 1980, and to change the site of Blackness primary school, Dundee, from its present premises to the Hawkhill building, with effect from August 1981. These proposals were approved on 3 September 1980. No further proposals affecting primary schools in the west end of Dundee have been submitted for the approval of the Secretary of State.
