HC Deb 27 October 1980 vol 991 cc180-1W
Miss Wright

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if joint funding finance may be used towards expenditure necessary to implement any recommendations by the Warnock committee which are accepted by Her Majesty's Government.

Sir George Young:

Many of the Warnock committee's recommendations are directed towards local authorities and other agencies and may be introduced, as resources permit, under existing legislation. Joint finance may be used on the wide range of personal social services and community health advisory and support services to assist children and young people with special needs in education.
