asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether a military option is given when employment offices are helping people to find jobs.

[pursuant to his reply, 8 August 1980, c. 405]: There are longstanding instructions to jobcentre and employment office staff to bring to the attention of suitable unemployed men and women opportunities for enlistment in Her Majesty's Forces. Recently newly-designed posters and vacancy cards about forces life have been printed for display in jobcentres and employment offices.
