§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if there is now provision for Saturday visits at Ashford remand centre, and if not, what action is planned.
Mr. Britton:We regret that it has not yet been possible to reintroduce facilities for Saturday visits at Ashford remand centre. Negotiations with the Prison Officers' Association are continuing and every effort is being made to reach a satisfactory conclusion.
