§ 15. Mr. John Home Robertsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many pensioners' houses are protected under the Tenants Rights Etc. (Scotland) Amendment Act 1980 in the constituencies of Edinburgh, Pentlands and Berwick and East Lothian.
§ Mr. RifkindThe main category of houses affected by the Act is amenity housing, for which the latest available estimates by local authorities are eight in Berwickshire, none in East Lothian and 165 in Edinburgh. Estimates are not available for parliamentary constituencies. An unknown number of other houses adapted for the elderly are likely to come under the provisions of the Act.
