§ Mr. McQuarrieasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what further progress has been made with the winding-up of the White Fish Authority and the Herring Industry Board, and the setting up of a new body to undertake the duties of these two bodies which will have increased powers in the organisation of the fishing industry and safeguarding its interests.
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithMinisters have been considering the views of industry representatives and others who were consulted about the proposal to establish a statutory body to replace the White Fish Authority and the Herring Industry Board. I hope that it will be possible to make an announcement shortly.
