§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether, in view of the letter dated 27 October sent to the hon. Member for Down, North by the Under-Secretary of State in the Northern Ireland office responsible for education, he will ensure that sufficient funds are made available to the South-Eastern Education and Library Board at once so that the board can provide additional accommodation at Regent House school, Newtownards, to relieve the physical constraint on accommodation for science students.
§ Mr. GoodhartThe provision of additional accommodation is a matter for the consideration of the board in the first instance. Should the board submit any such proposal to the Department of Education for Northern Ireland it will be considered on its merits having regard to the financial resources available for capital expenditure works and to the priority of other schemes.
