§ Mr. TebbitWe have today ratified the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships 1973 and the 1978 protocol thereto; the Torremo-linos International Convention for the Safety of Fishing Vessels 1977; and the International Convention on Maritime Search and Rescue 1979.
This marks a further step forward in the Government's continuing endeavour to improve maritime safety and prevent pollution at sea.
