Mr. Roy Hughes

asked the Minister of Transport if he will take steps to ensure that sufficient road schemes will be put forward for aid from EEC funds if and when the Council of Ministers accepts the principle of a transport infrastructure plan.

Mr. Fowler

If a transport infrastructure regulation is adopted, clearly I should ensure that suitable United Kingdom schemes were put forward.
