§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithThe Community quota of 10,000 tonnes of frozen cod fillets formed part of the Tokyo round of multilateral trade negotiations. The quota came into operation on 1 January 1980 and is available to all third countries, including Canada. It would be premature at this early stage to draw any conclusions about the effect of the quota upon the United Kingdom fishing industry.
