asked the Secretary of State for Trade (1) if he has had discussions with the British Airline Pilots Association concerning the two-man cockpit layout in the new 757 and 767 airliners which are being offered by Boeing to airlines, including British Airways, as an alternative to a three-seat configuration; and, if so, what has been the result;

No. It will be for the Civil Aviation Authority, who is responsible for aviation safety, in granting a certificate of airworthiness, to specify the minimum number of flight deck crew.
