HC Deb 26 March 1980 vol 981 cc567-8W
Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when Weelsby Hall school for maladjusted boys, Grimsby, was last inspected by his Department; and how many inspections have been carried out in the two years prior to that.

Mr. Mark Carlisle

Weelsby Hall school was the subject of a full inspection by Her Majesty's inspectors in November 1979. In the two years prior to that date the school was visited by Her Majesty's inspectors on three occasions and three further visits have been made this term.

The proprietor has informed my Department that the school will close at Easter, and eight of the 20 pupils have already left the school.
