§ Mr. Joel Barnettasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) what changes will be required in the Public Expenditure Survey Committee timetable if future public expenditure White Papers are published on Budget day; and if he will make a statement;
(2) if it is now his intention to publish future public expenditure White Papers on Budget day.
§ Mr. BiffenWe shall consider future arrangements for the Public Expenditure Survey and White Paper in the light of experience this year and the reactions of Parliament and others.
