asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what were the annual levels of production and consumption of liquid milk in the United Kingdom over the last 10 years.

Sales of milk off farms, and sales of milk for liquid consumption, through the milk marketing schemes in the United Kingdom in the 10 years ended 31 December 1979 were as follows:

not be agreed in time to apply to the 1980 crop. The maximum prices for liquid milk were increased last month. Negotiaions on the proposals for EEC farm prices are continuing, and I will continue to keep the House informed of developments.

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list the negotiated increase in average support prices for the years 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978 and 1979, respectively.

The European Commission's estimates of the increases in average common prices which have been negotiated in the Agriculture Council in the five years shown below are as follows:

1975 9.6 per cent
1976 7.7 per cent
1977 3.9 per cent
1978 2.1 per cent
1979 1.3 per cent
