HC Deb 12 March 1980 vol 980 c562W
Mr. Skeet

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what international collaboration the United Kingdom has achieved with other countries in the research and development of fast reactors.

Mr. Norman Lamont

The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority exchanges information on fast reactor technology and safety with organisations in many other countries active in this field, including the United States of America, Japan, the USSR, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, and in a number of cases there is also joint participation in experimental work. In addition, the United Kingdom is represented on the international working group on fast reactors, a body sponsored by the International Atomic Energy Agency, and on a number of Euratom working groups.
