§ Mr. TebbitThe previous Government announced on 3 April 1979 that a sixth British-built Concorde would be placed with British Airways. The aircraft is expected to enter service later this year.
566WThe seventh British-built Concorde has been allocated temporarily to British Airways to maintain supersonic services while one of its original fleet of five Concordes is undergoing repair. The Government have indicated that they would be prepared to consider proposals from British Airways for the permanent allocation of the seventh Concorde to the airline, but no such proposals have so far been received.
