[pursuant to his reply, 14 February 1980, c. 740]: The proportions in the tables below are based on Department of Employment estimates of the total numbers of employees in employment and those unemployed in the assisted areas (AAs) at June 1976 (the latest date for which these estimates are available). They do not include self-employed persons and members of HM Forces for which estimates for local areas are not available.
