HC Deb 07 March 1980 vol 980 cc364-5W
Mr. Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for Wales (1) what would be the estimated cost of implementing the draft order that has been, or is in the course of being, submitted to his Department by the Welsh Water Authority under the provisions of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975, in the event of its approval by the House;

(2) what would be the estimated cost of the valuation of Welsh salmon and freshwater fisheries that would have to be undertaken prior to the bringing into operation of the draft order that has been, or is in the course of being, submitted to his Department by the Welsh Water Authority under the provisions of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975;

(3) what are the estimated costs, other than those of valuing Welsh salmon and freshwater fisheries, that would be incurred before the draft order that has been, or is in the course of being, submitted to his Department by the Welsh Water Authority under the provisions of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975 could be brought into operation.

Mr. Nicholas Edwards

No such order has yet been submitted to me and I have therefore no basis on which to comment.
