Mr. Allan Stewart

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on discussions between his Department and the Scottish and English Football Associations regarding ticket distribution arrangements for the forthcoming international match.

Mr. Monro

I understand the football associations met on 27 February to discuss this matter but I did not attend. I regard ticket sales and distribution as matters for these associations, not for the Government.
