Mr. Wm. Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether any persons now serving in Northern Ireland as clerk, deputy clerk or assistant clerk of a district council are not British subjects; when such persons were appointed; and whether he is satisfied the appointments were within the scope of regulations in force at the time of appointment.

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland why, in the Statutory Rules of Northern Ireland 1980, No. 23, the qualification "He is a British Subject", which appeared in the former regulations introduced in 1973, has been dispensed with.
