HC Deb 06 March 1980 vol 980 c289W
Mr. Marlow

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people have been allowed to settle in the United Kingdom as the dependants of people who have themselves been allowed to settle as the elderly relatives of legal immigrants for each of the last three years; and whether they are entitled to permanent settlement and full citizenship rights.

Mr. Raison

I regret that the statistical information requested in not available. Anyone admitted for settlement may in due course qualify to apply for citizenship.
