§ 63. Mr. Dobsonasked the Secretary of State for Energy if there is an embargo on the export of British oil to South Africa.
§ Mr. Gray[pursuant to his reply, 29 February 1980, c. 782]: As I indicated to the House in a written answer on 24 May 1979—[Vol. 967]—the Government continue to expect that oil companies exporting North Sea crude will do so in the markets of our partners in the International Energy Agency and in the European Community. This expectation does not cut across the maintenance to the extent possible of any existing pattern of trade outside those regions; there is no such existing pattern of trade with South Africa.
